North Loup is a village located in Valley County, Nebraska, United States. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.25 square miles (0.65 km²), all of it land. As per the 2010 census, North Loup had a population of 297 people. The village is home to several parks, including the Melham Park which features a community swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts, and a playground. North Loup is also known for its historic architecture, including the St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Krotter House, which is a Nebraska State Historical Site. The village hosts various community events throughout the year including the annual Old Settlers Day festival, Christmas Lighting Contest and the North Loup Farmers Market.
